MONTREAL, QUEBEC - (May 31, 2011) - The Farha Foundation, Quebec's leading HIV/AIDS fundraising organization, is officially launching the 19th edition of ÇA MARCHE - Quebec's largest walk in support of the cause. On September 18th, participants will follow a 7 kilometre route through the streets of Montreal and walk to improve the lives of the 20,000 men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS throughout Quebec. The Farha Foundation is inviting everyone to join the fight and register now at camarche.ca.
Evelyn Farha, Farha Foundation's Honourary President, shares: "My son Ron created ÇA MARCHE in hopes of one day seeing our world without AIDS. Unfortunately, he did not live to participate in this event as he succumbed to the disease just before its first edition. This September, please walk with me on behalf of those who can no longer do so and help make a difference. Together, let's get the word out that prevention is the best way to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS".
The Farha Foundation would like to thank our sponsors for helping make ÇA MARCHE possible. A warm thank you goes to our major sponsor, Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada, our platinum sponsor, Gilead and our gold sponsors: CTV; Cytronic; the City of Montreal; Merck; and TD Bank. We are also extremely grateful to all our other supporting partners.
Join us on September 18th and make a significant difference in your community! Invite your friends, family and colleagues to form a team and support the fight against HIV/AIDS.
