The Farha Foundation Wraps Up the First in A Series of CA MARCHE Events in the Fight Against HIV/AIDS!
Early contributions underway for the most important HIV/AIDS fundraising walk in Quebec
MONTREAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwire - June 6, 2012)- The Farha Foundation, Quebec's leading HIV/AIDS fundraising organization, officially announced the launch of its milestone 20th edition of ÇA MARCHE - Quebec's largest walk in support of the cause. Starting at 9 a.m. from Parc Émilie-Gamelin (St-Catherine East and St-Hubert) on Sunday, September 30, participants will follow a 7 kilometre route through the streets of downtown Montreal and walk to improve the lives of the 20,000 men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS throughout Quebec. The Farha Foundation invites everyone to join the fight and register early at www.camarche.ca.
This year is an important one for the Foundation as it marks 20 years of providing support to those
fighting HIV/AIDS. To spread the word about the cause and the walk, the Foundation is hosting a series of monthly
events leading up to ÇA MARCHE. The first event took place at HappyTree Yoga on Sunday, May 27 with a successful
turnout of people willing to join the Farha Foundation in the fight against the disease. All entrance fees
were donated directly to the cause.
As a part of the 2012 initiatives, the Foundation will be partnering with various companies for fundraising promotions
and activities. For the month of June, Yingo.ca will donate 10% of all their sales to the Foundation in support of the 20th edition
of ÇA MARCHE. The Foundation encourages everyone to take advantage of the amazing discounts available on Yingo.ca in support of
ÇA MARCHE 2012.
To highlight the Foundation's milestone, a visual retrospective of the last 20 years was created and is illustrated
as an infographic to
remind the community that the impact of this terrible disease still remains. It also serves not only to showcase the Foundation's
contribution to the community but also to highlight how much support is still needed.
The Farha Foundation would like to thank the sponsors whose contributions make ÇA MARCHE 2012 possible. A warm thank you goes
to our Main Sponsor, Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada; our Platinum Sponsor, Gilead; our Gold Sponsors, CTV, the City of Montreal, and Zenergy

About ÇA MARCHE
ÇA MARCHE ( www.camarche.ca ) one of the first
Farha Foundation events to emerge in 1993, is an annual walkathon of 7 kilometres, gathering thousands of
people aiming at raising funds and sensitizing the population to the HIV/AIDS cause.
To maximize awareness of the event, the Farha Foundation asks you to spread the word to as many people as possible. In doing so, you will
contribute directly to helping those living with HIV/AIDS, a disease that currently infects as many as two people a day in Quebec.
Bring your friends and family to inspire our community to support the cause. Sign up now at www.camarche.ca .
