Australian Health Minister Tanya Plibersek to open the 2012 International Microbicides Conference

April 13, 2012 (Sydney, Australia) - The Honorable Tanya Plibersek MP, Australia's Federal Minister for Health, will speak at the opening ceremony of the 2012 International Microbicides Conference in Sydney this Sunday. Ms. Plibersek will address an audience of preeminent international scientists in the biomedical HIV prevention field,
as well as advocates from Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe and the U.S. The speech will take place at 6:00pm at the Parkside Auditorium
of the Sydney Exhibition and Conference Centre located on the Darling Harbour waterfront on Sunday 15 April.
The biennial International Microbicides Conference is the premier gathering for those working on new approaches to HIV
prevention and this year's conference in Sydney, Australia will place a strong emphasis on the role of community in both research
and implementation of scientific findings.
