Underway and ongoing
‘I Can’t Wait’ is the campaign theme from WorldHepatitisDay.org for WHD 2022. This will bring WHA and our global network of 318 members in 100 countries together to lead the campaign internationally. Launched in May, 2021 the Hepatitis Can’t Wait global campaign highlights the need to accelerate hepatitis elimination efforts, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Alongside this, it will also highlight the social injustice and inequity caused by the current lack of action on hepatitis elimination and focus on the positive action needed to get on track to meet our 2030 elimination goals. Find out how to get involved.

CATIE’s Hep C Basics course provides foundational knowledge in hepatitis C (Hep C) for service providers who work with people living with or at risk of Hep C. The course content covers transmission, testing, treatment and health literacy. Participants will achieve a basic understanding of Hep C across the continuum of prevention, treatment, care and support, allowing them to discuss Hep C infection in their work and to support their clients.

CATIE’s Hepatitis C Treatment course aims to develop in-depth knowledge on the treatment of hepatitis C for frontline service providers working with clients who have hepatitis C or are at risk for hepatitis C. Through this course, participants will gain information on the benefits of treatment and an overview of what treatment for hepatitis C typically includes. This course will help participants to be able to accurately answer client questions on hepatitis C treatment options, access to treatment, and additional considerations for treatment. Participants will emerge with strategies to support clients before, during, and after treatment.
